Mrs. Marie Heye Clemens of 960 Fifth Avenue, widow of Dr. James B. Clemens, died yesterday in the Doctors Hospital at the age of 74. She was a member of the Board and the executive committee of the Travelers Aid Society, vice president of Bethany Day Nursery and a member of the board and treasurer of the Professional Children's School.

The marriage of Mrs. Dorothy Clemens Sothoron, widow of Allan Sothoron and daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs.James B. Clemens of this city, to Leonard D. Henry, son of Dr. and Mrs. J. O. Henry of Allentown, Pa., took place here yesterday in Christ Methodist Church. The Rev. Layton E. Holmgren performed the ceremony.
- The bride is a director of the Bethany Day Nursery and the Professional Children's School here and has been doing work for the American Red Cross. She is a member of the Colony Club, the Junior League of New York and the Sleeph Hollow Country Club. Mr. Henry, an alumnus of the United States Military Academy, was recently honorably discharged form the service. The couple will make their home at 19 East Seventy-second Street. BALTIMORE, May 26 - Hollyday Sothoron Compton, prominent in sportsman and banking circles and widely known in society, was found dead of a bullet wound at his home in Carrison (sic), Baltimore County, today.
- Depression due to ill health resulting from a fall while horseback riding last September, when Mr. Compton suffered a broken leg and other injuries, is thought by members of the family to have led to the shooting. Mr. Compton was in a hospital for many weeks.
- This morning Mr. Compton's wife and her mother, Mrs. Charles E. Phelps, were at breakfast. A shot was herd from the second floor, and when the women reached Mr. Compton's room they found him dying, with a pistol at his side.
- Mr. Compton was about 32, one of the four sons of Key Compton, for years the president of the Chesapeake Steamship Company. He had been associated with Gillet & Co., bankers.
- The accident which resulted in the injury to Mr. Compton occurred at Owings' Mills on Sept. 11. He fell from the horse and the horse fell and rolled on him.
- Surviving Mr. Compton are his widow, who was Miss Elizabeth G. Phelps; a daughter, 5 years old, and a son, 1 year old; his mother and three brothers, Randall, Beverly and Sothoron Compton. (New York Times :22, Garrison, Baltimore Co., MD, 1930.05.26, Reported 1930.05.27)

BALTIMORE, March 6 -- The marriage of Mrs. Hollyday Sothoron Compton to John Laughlin Swope, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Swope of Roland Prk, took place here today in the Protestant Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. The Rev. Richard H. Baker officiated.
- Mrs. Compton wore a gown of beige sheer crepe and a rose-red hat. Miss Sally Taylor Compton was her mother's maid of honor, wearing a dress of turquoise blue.
