Services Will Be Held in Bryantown,
Md., This Morning
- Funeral services for Aloysius E. Bowling, who died at his home, 1200 Massachusetts avenue northwest, yesterday morning, will be held in Bryantown, Md., this morning at 11:30 o'clock. The services will be conducted by Father Southgate, of the Catholic University.
- Mr. Bowling, who held the position of auditor of the Treasury Department, was born forty-eight years ago in Charles County, Maryland. After graduating from Rockhill College, he went to Mechanicsville, Md., and started in business. Twice he was a candidate for the Maryland legislature, but was both times defeated. He came to this city four years ago, entering the goverment service as chief of the Bureau of Equipment of the Navy Department. Two years ago he was appointed deputy auditor of the Treasury Department, which position he held at the time of his death.
- Last July he went to Baltimore, undergoing an operation for tuberculosis. The operation proved unsuccessful, anf from that time to his death he was confined to his bed. Mr. Bowling is survived by his wife and two children, Miss Alice Bowing and Horace H. Bowling. (Ancestry.com* - image of Obituary in The Washington Post of 24 Nov 1905)
