Notes for SUSANNA CAVE:
Prince George's County Will Book __ pages 490-491
I Samuel Cave testator to the aforegoing will do hereby make this additional codicil to that my last will and testament. Whereas I have heretofore in the 2nd and 3rd pages of my will aforesaid devised to my daughters Susanna, Mary, and Jane, all at that time living, the Negro man Sen, to be disposed of or settled for, as therein expressed, but as it hath pleased God to take to himself my daughter Mary, then wife of Mr. Caleb Thomas, and my second daughter having intermarried with the said Caleb Thomas, and thereby a considerable portion of my property hath gone into his hands, I think that it but right to let my daughter Jane, now Jane Moran, wife of John Moran (who has lived with me almost constantly, and who has undergone much fatigue with me during my long indisposition and ever performed the duties of an affectionate child, with great cheerfulness and apparent satisfaction) have the whole and sole advantage of that devise, instead of my three daughters as before mentioned. I therefore give and bequeath to my daughter Jane Moran, Negro Sen, before named, to her and her heirs, hereby revoking the devise in my will made. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 2nd day of December 1801. Sam Cave {seal}
