Indenture of 19 May 1842 between John T.H. Sothoron; and George G. Aschorn & William Biscoe; all of St. Mary's Co., MD. Sothoron is about to take an appeal from a case pending in St. Mary's Co. Circuit Court, in which John H. Key (plaintiff) obtained judgment for $918.65 plus interest. Aschom & Biscoe have consented to sign the appeal bond, allowing case to be forwarded to State Court of Appeals, paying $5.00 cash & securing a mortgage on negroes: men respectively named Peter, John, Gerard & John McElroy; boy named David; all slaves for life.
