- Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Skinner Sothoron, wife of John H. Sothoron, will be held at 11 A.M. tomorrow at the home, 3507 North Charles street by the Rev. Dr. Philip J. Jensen, rector of St. Thomas' Protestant Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery, near Easton, Maryland.
- Mrs. Sothoron died Friday at the Hospital for the Women of Maryland. She was born in Easton, Md., the daughter of Mrs. Lawrence Skinner and the late Mr. Skinner, of Easton. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. J. Taylor Foster, of Baltimore. (Hayward File* {Undated Newspaper Clippings})

Mrs. Caroline Skinner Sothoron, a 44 year, 2 month, 2 day old married white female, died at 3:50 P.M. on 11 April 1941 at Hospital For Women of Maryland, Lafayette & John Sts., Baltimore City. She had been hospitalized for 285 days. Her usual residence was 3507 N. Charles, Baltimore City, MD; she had lived in Baltimore for 10 years. Her husband was Mr. John H. Sothoron (age not given); she had no SSN. She was born in Easton, MD on Feb. 9, 1897 to Lawrence Skinner (born in Easton, MD) & Catherine Valliant (born in Clarksville, Tenn.). Informant was John H. Sothoron, Jr. of same address.
- Immediate Cause of Death was bronchopneumonia of 7 days' duration, due to Cachexia & being bed ridden, due to Carcinomatosis. Major finding of surgery was Ovarian tumor with abdominal metastases; there was no autopsy. Certification was by Merrill Y. Stone of Hospital for Women of Maryland, who had attended her from July 1, 1940 until the day of death, last seeing her alive the day of death.
- Burial was at Asbury Cemetery, 14 miles from Easton, on 4/14/41. Funeral director was H. W. Mears, 805 N. Calvert Street. (Certificate of Death - Registered No. F79559, Recorded 1941.04.13)
