Grace Sothoron, a single white female, aged 2 years, 2 months, died at 2:30 am on 1 April 1922 at South Baltimore General Hospital, Ward 23, Baltimore City, MD. Her residence was 1533 S. Hanover St. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on Jan 4, 1920 to Andrew J. Sothoron & Grace B. Haslup, both born in Maryland; and lived in Baltimore her entire life. The informant was Andrew J. Sothoron of the same address.
- Cause of death was Lobar Pneumonia of 20 days' duration, with Empyema (left base) of 5 days' duration being contributory. Disease was contracted at home. Surgery preceded death, on 3/30/22. Diagnosis was on clinical basis, with no autopsy. Certification was by Joseph Pokorny, M.D., of South Balto. Gen. Hospital, who attended the child from 30 March 1922 to the day of death.
- Burial was at Cedar Hill Cemetery on 4/3/22. William Cook of 5029 North made the arrangements. (Certificate of Death, Registered No. D63055)

She was born 4/15/89 to John H. Hopkins & Elizabeth Ann Sullivan, all born in Md. Her usual residence was 3537 11th St. N.W., Washington, DC; her husband was Earl Sothoron, aged 50. She had no Social Security No.
- Cause of death was Pulmonary Tuberculosis, present for 17 years. Certification was by Daniel L. Finuca(?), M.D., of Glenn Dale Sanatorium, who attended her from 5/27/1938 until death; he last saw her alive on the day of death.
- Burial was in Washington, DC, with removal & arrangements by Chambers Co, 1400 Chapin St. NW, Washington, DC. (Certificate of Death, Registered No. 08796, Dist. No. 293)
- Died. On Saturday, August 3, 1940, GRACE E. SOTHORON (nee Hopkins), beloved wife of Earl F. Sothoron. Remains resting at Chambers funeral home, 1400 Chapin st. nw., until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday August 6. Mass at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 18th st. and Park road nw. Relatives and friends invited. Grace E. Sothoron, a 50 year old female, died 3 August 1940 as a result of pulmonary TB. She had lived in Glendale, MD. She was buried on 6 August 1940 at Congressional Cemetery, Washington, DC in Lot 101 of Range 21, a lot owned by Margaret S. Cross since May 1913. She was buried "ED” (extra deep), and shares the same lot with Earl Sothoron. (Burial Record) (I could find no stone when I visited on 5 Sept 2003)
