Mrs. Newton was a member of Walker Methodist Church in Greensboro, GA Mrs. Newton was retired from Georgia Power Company. Survived by one son, George Newton and his wife, Judi Newton, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, one brother, M.C. Overton, Cummings, GA; granddaughters, Ursula Rossman and husband Matthew Rossman of Cleveland, Ohio, Jessica Newton, Pasadena, California; 2 grandsons, LTjg Matthew Newton and his wife, Shannon Newton of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Benjamin Newton, Charleston, SC. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery, Union Point, Georgia. Rev. Joe Newton will officiate.
