Altie Stuart Fowler, 93, of Springfield, died on July 4, 2005.
Funeral services will be conducted today, Wednesday, July 6 at 3 p.m. with Dr. David Leavell, Rev. Fred Schott, and Rev. Joe Hinkle officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the Robertson County Funeral Home.
She was born March 12, 1912 in Smith County to the late Bart and Mary Clark Stuart. Mrs. Fowler, along with her late husband Comer M. Fowler, were the founders of Springfield Auto Parts where she served as bookkeeper. She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church, where she joined in 1943 and taught Sunday school for many years. Mrs. Fowler enjoyed traveling and crocheting. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was the last living of 12 siblings.
Survived by sons: Alvin (Bettye) Fowler, Lloyd (Peggy) Fowler both of Springfield, grandchildren: Mike (Cathy) Fowler, Allan (Susan) Fowler, Annett Fowler, Greg (Tammy) Fowler, Joellen Fowler, Chip (Hilda) Miller, Janie Miller, great grandchildren: Robert, Stephen, Sara, David, and Kelsie Fowler, Cayce and Matt Miller.
Robertson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
