Charles Edward Thompson was born 31 Jan 1985 at Budd's Creek, St. Mary's Co., MD to James S. Thompson & Laura E. Crismond. Per his military records he was inducted into the service as a Private on 25 Sept 1917 and died 15 Nov 1917 in Washington, DC of bronchial pneumonia, acute congestion & edema of the brain. The Leonardtown monument states he died in France, but this doesn't appear to be the case. (Reno*, in "The Generator," published by the St. Mary's Co., MD Genealotical Society in Fall 2009)
