- He was an Army veteran of World War II and served in France.
- He married Helen Bernice Williams on Feb. 11, 1933, in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Fillebrown died May 20,1993.
- Surviving are a son, Joel A. Fillebrown of Berryville; a daughter, Carolyn L. Mellon of Estero, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
- A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home, Berryville, with Pastor Jennings B. Wood officiating. Burial will be private in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville, Md.
- Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 300 Fort Collier Road, Winchester 22603.
