Mrs. Smoot Dies; Widow Of Engineer.
- Minona Donn Smoot, 74, a native Washingtonian and widow of Alden Smoot, died Saturday [18 Aug] at Doctors Hospital after a long illness. She lived at 3000 Tilden st. nw.
- Mrs.Smoot was a member of the Washington Club for many years and belonged to All Souls Episcopal Church. Her husband, a civil engineer, died in 1939.
- She was the sister of the late Edward W. Donn, Jr., Washington architect, who restored Wakefield, the birthplace of George Washington and other historic homes. She leaves no immediate survivors.
- Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hines Funeral Home, 2901 14th st. nw. Burial will be private. (Washington Post :22, Reported 20 Aug 1956)
