- Edwin B. Constantine III of Minneapolis, N.C., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, while on holiday in Branson, Missouri.
- Edwin was born Sept. 17, 1928, in Fredericksburg and graduated from North Carolina State. He was a civil engineer and retired as director of public works at Marine Corps Air Station, Quantico.
- He was preceded in death by his son, Douglas, of Chester. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ruth; two sons, Ed and his wife, Pablita, of Virginia Beach, and Gus of Osage Beach, Mo.; two daughters, Joyce Bartlett and her husband, Troy, of Branson, and Janice Trent and her husband, Don, of Minneapolis; and a daughter-in-law, Rosie of Chester.
- He had 12 grandchildren, Doug of Albertville, Ala., Scott, Neil and Michelle of Chester, Dahl, Rachel and Sherry of Virginia Beach, Kelsey and Bryce of Branson, and Caroline, Jackie and Gena of Minneapolis; and two great-grandchildren, Dylan Constantine of Albertville and Rylee Kenner of Virginia Beach.
- He will be sorely missed not only for his guidance and leadership but also for the deep love he gave to all of his family.
